Cancellation of courses by CPA NS

1.      CPA Nova Scotia reserves the right to cancel courses due to low registration.  Courses with insufficient enrolment two weeks prior to course date will be cancelled.  Registrants will be advised and may enroll in alternative courses (subject to availability) or receive a full refund or course credit.

2.      If a course is cancelled due to severe weather conditions notice will be sent to your preferred email in the CPA Nova Scotia database by 7:00 am the morning of the course.

Please be advised in rare instances CPA NS may be forced to cancel a course on short notice due to circumstances outside our control.  Best efforts to contact participants prior to the course start time are based on information provided by the participants (please provide an accurate email address where requested, as this is the best method of contacting individuals on short notice).  CPA NS's liability, if any, is limited to the course fees paid.

No refund will be made for cancellations received after the Passport deadline date or two(2) weeks prior to any other course date.  Refunds for withdrawals before those dates will be subject to a handling charge of $30 plus HST per course.

Lunches are not included in the price of a course or served (unless otherwise indicated).

Registrants are responsible for their own accommodation arrangements.

Course material

All course material will be distributed at the course site (to the registered participants only), unless otherwise stated in the course description.

Entrepreneurial Material

Please note, because of the ownership of the material, CPA Nova Scotia cannot provide entrepreneurial materials (third party) to participants who do not attend a course.

Registration is open to sufficiently qualified non-members and we encourage your participation.

Please refer to course descriptions for course times.  Check course outlines on the events section for the most recent changes.

Confirmation reports for course registrations are mailed approximately two weeks prior to the course date.  For registrations received after this date, confirmation will be faxed or emailed. If you have not received a confirmation prior to the course date, please contact the office.  Please note: confirmation is provided as a courtesy, it is not an integral part of the registration process.  All assessments apply whether or not a registrant receives a confirmation letter.

PD courses will take place in the CPA Nova Scotia Learning Centre, 300 – 1871 Hollis St., Halifax.  All locations will be indicated on the course confirmations.  Course locations and dates are subject to change.  Please see individual course descriptions in this brochure for locations of each course and check the events section for updated information.
