The Department of Commerce at Mount Allison University invites applications for a full-time nine-month sessional appointment. The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for replacing the teaching load of a full-time faculty member (five courses) in the area of Accounting. Given this, they should be competent to teach from among the following: Introduction to Auditing, Management Information Systems, Intermediate Accounting I & II, Advanced Accounting I & II, Taxation, and Production & Operations Management. Preference will be given to a candidate who can also teach in the Management stream. Possible courses to be taught in this area include: Issues in Business and Society, Research Methods in Business, Small Business Management, Business Ethics. The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor and will commence on August 1, 2018, subject to budgetary approval.

Candidates are required to have a CPA designation. A graduate-level degree is preferred. The candidate should be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching. The successful candidate shall also contribute to the general research culture and activities of the Department.
