Nominations Now Open for FCPA Awards

CPA Nova Scotia is re-opening the call for Fellow Nominations after we recognized this is a new CPA process and may be unfamiliar to our membership. We have outlined the nomination criteria, process, and deadline below and look forward to reviewing your submissions.

The CPA profession, like its legacy groups, will honour those among the profession who have distinguished themselves by exceptional service with the awarding of Fellow status.
Admission Criteria
Nominators must highlight the candidate’s leadership and the exceptional nature of the candidate’s achievement and character. Fellows should have demonstrated exceptional achievement in at least one, and satisfactory performance in at least one other of the following: professional career, contributions to the profession; and contributions to the community.
Nomination Process
Nominators must be members of CPA Nova Scotia and each nomination requires two nominators. Nominators are required to ensure the nomination file is complete and that the information it contains is accurate and sufficient, as well as providing a letter explaining why they have nominated the candidate.

If you know a CPA who exemplifies leadership in their professional career, volunteer involvement in the profession or their community, we encourage you to nominate them for the FCPA designation. The nomination form can be found here. Deadline is May 31, 2018. To review the FCPA policy, click here
