More than ever before, Tennis Nova Scotia (TNS) is committed to growing tennis across Nova Scotia and providing opportunities for all to participate at a level consistent with their personal goals and aspirations. Tennis Nova Scotia believes in instilling positive personal values through competition and training and that all Nova Scotians, regardless of age, place of residence, financial means, or physical ability, should be given an opportunity to participate in and enjoy the game of tennis. Tennis Nova Scotia will be the operator of the new $11 million-dollar Atlantic Tennis Centre (ATC) under construction in Bedford. The ATC, which is in the final stages of completion, is a state-of-the-art building that will be one of Canada’s top tennis facilities.
TNS is seeking a CPA to join its volunteer board of directors as treasurer and chair of the audit/finance subcommittee. Working closely with the other Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TNS, the Treasurer is responsible for financial oversight of the Organization. In addition to being a CPA, nominees should have a passionate interest in tennis and/or the development of sport in the province of Nova Scotia. Interested applicants from any region in the Province are encouraged to apply.
