CPA Nova Scotia will be offering its live sessions in a virtual format for the foreseeable future. Members can join from wherever you are located. Although delivered virtually, our classes still have maximum registrations to allow the instructor to effectively engage with participants.

What training platform will be used?

The session will use the 
Zoom Conferencing solution as the training platform. The solution works with virtually all computers, and sign-up is free.

How do I access the webinar via Zoom Conferencing?
A meeting link, ID and password will be included in the Course Confirmation email you will receive five business days before the event.

How do I hear the audio portion of my online training?
You have two options. The first option is to listen through your computer’s audio system. The second option is to dial into the online training session using your phone. Follow 
these instructions on the Zoom website to test your audio.

Do I need to speak during the webinar? 
While you can type questions and comments in the chat window, some webinars and instructors encourage verbal discussions, particularly when breakout rooms are used. To derive the most benefit from such webinars, participants are encouraged to have a microphone on their device. If your device does not have one, you can dial-in by phone. 

Can I do a test meeting to familiarize myself with Zoom?
Yes, you can - follow 
these instructions on the Zoom website.

Can I participate using my iPad, iPhone or Android-powered tablet or phone?
Yes, you can.

How early may I login to my online training session?
You should log in at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the webinar to ensure that you can connect properly. You will be placed in the waiting room until the meeting host admits you to the classroom.
