We are seeking a versatile and dedicated Accountant for a permanent position with our company. This is a great opportunity for someone with a diverse accounting background, strong full-cycle accounting experience and a desire to work in the thriving real estate industry.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Financial statement preparation
  • Monthly reporting for multiple entities
  • Monthly accounting for our investment portfolio
  • Variance analysis
  • General ledger maintenance
  • Budgeting
  • Commercial Recoveries
  • Assist with accounting software troubleshooting
  • Other accounting and special project responsibilities as required


Knowledge and Skills Required:


  • Post-secondary education in business or accounting
  • 4-5+ years’ full-cycle accounting experience
  • CPA is an asset or solid experience and education
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel and working knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Above average attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform with high integrity and respect the private and confidential nature of the duties
  • Prior experience or knowledge of investment accounting is an asset
  • Prior experience with financial statement consolidation is an asset
  • Prior experience in either real estate or property management is an asset
  • Prior experience using Yardi property management software is an asset





Hours of Work:  Monday to Friday – 40 Hour Work Week


Work Location:  Southwest Head Office – 1475 Lower Water Street, Suite 100
