Hal-Con is a sci-fi, fantasy and gaming convention run completely by dedicated volunteers. We are community focused geeks, hosting Atlantic Canada’s biggest fan convention.

We are currently recruiting an accounting geek to be our next Director of Finance/Treasurer for our board of directors. Love Star Wars? LOTR? Stan Lee? D&D? Gaming? Want to be exposed to a whole universe of what makes up the

coolest fandoms? Come be on the board that makes it happen for Eastern Canada!

What we’re looking for:

●    A nerd (geeks may also apply) with a seat at the table for all aspects of Atlantic Canada’s biggest fan convention

●    The board’s next resident finance expert

●    A dragon to hoard Hal-Con’s gold

●    Inside knowledge of the whole convention (No spoilers!)

●    A professional accounting designation (CPA) or in progress is preferred (but not essential)

The current Director of Finance will be staying with the convention until after the 2022 event, to train and guide the new Director of Finance.
